Accessibility statement
We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act, as amended, implementing the European Accessibility Directive (EU) RL 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements of products and services. This accessibility statement applies to www.gasthof-valluga.at
Note: This accessibility statement refers exclusively to our website. It does not make any statements about the structural accessibility of our premises.
Status of compliance with requirements
Due to the following incompatibilities and/or exceptions, this website is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2’ and the applicable European standard EN 301 549.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not yet accessible for the following reasons:
a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
1.1.1 - This success criterion is currently not fully met, as the website contains a large number of images that still lack alternative descriptions. We are continuously working on adding these labels.
1.3.1 - Some visually highlighted text areas are not programmatically marked as headings. The heading structure is being optimised step by step.
1.3.3 - Individual links or buttons are distinguished solely by colour, which means that the success criterion is not met.
1.3.5 - Some form fields – especially in the contact form – do not contain ‘autocomplete’ attributes and therefore do not meet the criterion.
1.4.1 - Links, for example in continuous text or navigation, are sometimes only highlighted in colour. This means that the success criterion is not met.
1.4.3 - Some texts and graphic elements do not meet the required contrast ratios. Optimisation is planned.
1.4.5 - Images with text content or badges are used that do not have a text alternative.
2.1.1 - The main navigation blocks the focus when using a keyboard. Other elements such as buttons or accordions are also not always operable via keyboard.
2.2.2 - Some elements do not have controls for pausing or stopping (sliders, carousels, automatically updating elements, etc.).
2.4.1 - Skiplinks for skipping recurring content are not available.
2.4.3 - The order of keyboard navigation is sometimes illogical or gets lost when elements are closed.
2.4.4 - Some links and buttons are not sufficiently described and therefore cannot be clearly identified by screen readers.
2.4.6 - Headings and form elements are not always clearly or descriptively named.
2.4.7 - The focus indicator for keyboard navigation is not consistently visible.
2.4.11 - The focus disappears when menus or controls such as accordions are not open.
2.5.3 - Visible labels for controls that are reflected in the accessible name are sometimes missing.
3.3.1 - Incorrect entries are not clearly recognised or described as such.
3.3.2 - Form elements are not consistently labelled or explained.
3.3.3 - No specific instructions are given for correcting errors.
4.1.2 - Not all buttons or interactive elements convey their status (e.g. expanded or selected) programmatically correctly.
4.1.3 - Changes such as progress indicators or errors are not automatically communicated to assistive technologies.
We strive to make all PDFs accessible; however, due to disproportionate burden, this is not always possible – all prices and offers can be found directly on our website or are available on request in an accessible format.
b) Disproportionate burden
We believe that rectifying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
The website contains older documents and content that are not accessible. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act and no comprehensive changes are currently planned for them.
The website contains documents and content from third-party providers that are neither developed, financed nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with the accessibility regulations, and it is therefore also exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act.
Preparation of the accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 7 April 2025.
The website's compliance with the Accessibility Act was assessed in the form of a self-test in accordance with the AA guidelines of WCAG 2.2.
Our website is continuously being optimised. Usability and accessibility are very important to us. If you encounter any barriers on our website that hinder or restrict your use of it, please let us know by sending an email to: info@gasthof-valluga.at
